Getting Started

Once your school has been registered, the first step is to complete your school profile. This includes your academic calendar, grade levels, and the subjects your school offers.

From there, most schools bring in students and staff either by adding them one at a time or by importing a spreadsheet. Our onboarding team is available to help with the import if your existing records live in another system.

We recommend starting with a small pilot group, such as a single grade level, before rolling the platform out to the whole school. That gives your staff time to get comfortable with the day to day workflows before everyone is relying on them at once.

Managing Users and Roles

Every person on the platform is assigned a role, such as administrator, teacher, parent, or student. Roles determine what a person can see and do, so a teacher can mark attendance for their own classes without being able to edit school wide settings.

Administrators can create and edit roles from the admin dashboard, and can also set up custom permission groups for staff who need access beyond the default roles, such as a head of department who oversees several classes.

If a staff member changes position during the year, their role can be updated at any time without affecting their historical records.

Core Modules

Dzidzo is organized around a set of core modules that cover the day to day work of running a school. Student Management holds enrollment, profiles, and academic records. Attendance tracks daily presence and generates compliance reports automatically. Examinations covers scheduling, grading, and report cards.

Communication ties the other modules together, sending announcements and alerts to parents and staff through the channel they actually check, whether that is email, SMS, or the mobile app.

Each module can be turned on independently, so a school can start with the basics and add modules like the AI Assistant or Finance and Fees when they are ready.

Integrations

Dzidzo connects with common payment gateways for fee collection, with SMS providers for parent communication, and with biometric attendance devices where a school already has that hardware in place.

If your school uses a separate learning management tool, our team can advise on the best way to keep student records in sync between systems, so staff are not entering the same information twice.

New integrations are added regularly based on requests from schools already using the platform. If there is a tool your school depends on, let our support team know.

Getting Support
